Prym Ergonomics Knitting Needle Review

A few months back, when I was in Europe, I felt the urge to knit but hadn't packed any projects with me. I grabbed two balls of yarn that I found in a department store, and  I went to three or four craft stores looking for knitting needles. The only needles I could find were Prym ergonomic needles, which were quite expensive. I know these have been on the market for a while, but I hadn't tried them as I didn't really need any more knitting needles. Since they were the only ones available, I decided to try them, so I bought size 4.5 mm 80 cm circular needles.

I didn't like them much as the grip was not comfortable and stitches wouldn't transfer smoothly from one needle to another rather than onto the wire, plus the tip was almost the size of the shaft of the needle, which made knitting slower. It was so slow that even my daughter noticed that it was taking me forever, as I had to stop every few stitches to push them back. Inserting the tip of it into stiches was not easy. I only knitted a scarf and then decided to put them aside.

I had no interest in writing a review - I usually don't because that is not why I started this blog - but when I went back home, I decided to give the ergonomic needles another try. I used them to try and knit a shawl, and guess what? The needle broke while I was only halfway through, which was really disappointing.

In short, the Prym ergonomic needles were neither comfortable nor durable.
